Provence is a new leather from Corium Leather in 9 colours.
Made on the finest high selection hides, Provence is a traditional European aniline leather.
The grain is totally natural and not interfered with at all, as it should be, so natural marks, bites and scars will be visible although at this selection level on our hides there are very few marks and scars.
Provence is a 1 to 1.2mm leather so its at the standard thickness for quality upholstery hide.
Provence has a magnificent hand or haptic, its soft buttery and lush with enough dying for the natural colours to be even across the hide but still allowing natural feel and its ability to breath in tact. Provence is at the more practical end of aniline products and is well suited to luxury domestic applications.
Traditional leathers like Provence are a joy to touch, feel and behold, applied to the right furniture it will mellow and age gracefully ever improving as it does. Colours for Provence are muted traditional tones with autumnal browns, tans and sand. Naturally black is included and a rich plum aubergine tone. Leathers of this type are rich and warm in look and feel but the real pleasure is in daily use of this luxurious and welcoming leather, soft and compliant always improving and gaining character as it ages.
